OUR Coaches - UPdate in progress

optional coach / Co-owner

Cale began gymnastics at the age of six in a small-town Tennessee facility where he was the only boy enrolled in the program. He quickly showed not just potential as an athlete, but an incredible passion for the sport. From there, his gymnastics career sky-rocketed. He was coached by Phil Savage at Premier Athletics in Knoxville, TN where his club career culminated in making the Junior National Team and he traveled internationally representing the United States. He went on to compete for Stanford University and was a member of the school’s 100th National Championship-winning team in 2011. He was named captain of the Stanford Men’s Gymnastics Team in both his junior and senior years.

From a young age, He always knew he wanted to give back to the sport that had provided him so much. As soon as he turned 15, he began shadowing coaches at his club gym to learn gymnastics techniques, principles, and strategies for motivating kids. He carried this passion with me throughout college and began working at Airborne Gymnastics in Santa Clara, CA. In 2014, he accepted his first head coaching job at Wallers’ GymJam Academy in Santa Clarita, CA. After a few years of success, he moved back to the Bay Area and became the Head Coach at Airborne. During his three years with the club, he developed and nurtured numerous athletes from Level 4 up to Junior Elite, and helped over 10 gymnasts obtain scholarships and walk-on positions at Division I, II, and III gymnastics programs.

In 2019, he moved to Seattle where he accepted the Head Coach position at Gym East in Bellevue. But due to COVID-19, that season was cut short. With the creation of Pacific Reign Gymnastics, he is excited to oversee the entire gym’s programming from the bottom up as well as work hand in hand with his partner, Owen Sun, in fostering a gym culture fit for the next generation of American gymnasts.

Camille Palmer

compulsory / Optional coach

Camille Palmer comes to Pacific Reign with an extensive background in dance and gymnastics. Camille's first love was artistic gymnastics and she competed as a JO gymnast for many years. During high school, Camille transitioned to rhythmic gymnastics where she competed and trained with the US Junior National Team in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

In her early 20s, Camille coached both compulsory and optional gymnasts, specializing in beam and floor. In 2003, Camille opened her own dance studio, Camille's Dance Edge, where she served as owner and artistic director of the studio for ten years. Her competitive dance companies won many local, regional, and national awards. Camille won multiple national choreography awards and her companies regularly placed first at Starpower Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her students have received numerous national awards, have been awarded scholarships to several major universities, and have danced professionally with international touring companies like Disney. One of Camille's former dancers went on to compete on "So You Think You Can Dance", where he placed in the top six dancers.

In 2013, Camille decided to close the studio to spend more time raising her two kids, Jocelyn and Jack. When Jocelyn started competitive gymnastics at age 6, Camille began working with Jocelyn's team, teaching them dance and working on their beam and floor artistry. As Jocelyn's team transitioned to optional levels, Camille choreographed their floor routines, many of which have been successful at the state and regional levels.

Camille is excited to be a part of the Pacific Reign family, where she will share her passion for gymnastics, dance, artistry, and technique with her gymnasts!
